In 2010, two of our founding members got to know Tichakunda as part of their volunteering in Zimbabwe. The conditions were poor; the local people’s commitment however was huge. Their aim was to construct a solid building in which the children could be accommodated in the future. The foundations had already been dug, but had to be secured before the oncoming rainy season. Our founding members spontaneously decided to use the private donations they had received in Germany for securing the foundations and obtaining the missing building materials.
